Highlights from Sheep Shearing Day
Our sheep were sheared, had their hooves trimmed and got their shots all on the same day this past Saturday, April 21, 2017. It was a great day weatherwise and we had some guests who came to watch the activities for the first time. Below are some photos of the shearing process.

Spring is Here
New Hoop Greenhouse
We are expanding the growing season at our homestead this year with the addition of our custom made hoop greenhouse! We’ve gotten the framing up but are awaiting the arrival of the plastic for the covering. This year we are starting over 200 heirloom tomato plants!
Spring Sapping
We tapped our trees for the first time and were able to get a small amount of maple syrup this year. It was a good learning experience and we are looking forward to next year’s sap season!
